Jewelry Making 3-day Class -- Three Wednesday evenings in April -- 12th 19th and 26th
Learn to make beautiful and unique jewelry using brilliant dichroic, iridescent and reactive glass. Learn to cut, grind and polish glass, using a wide range colors and types of glass. Session 1 will cover properties of glass, techniques for making a glass cabochon and how to plan and design your pieces. You will make a 2" x 3" block of glass as well as several smaller pieces using the silver foil.
In session 2 you will cut and shape your fired glass pieces into several pendants, earrings and/or bracelets using saws, drills and grinders . you can also choose to purchase sterling settings. Each participant will have their choice of silver plate and brass settings and fine silver wire to create several pendants, earrings and/or bracelets.
In the third session you will learn different setting techniques, learn to wire wrap earrings and assemble your final pieces.
