This piece was created using clear glass that reacts with silver to make shades of gold and bronze. Silver foil is fused between layers of glass to create the gold and bronze colors. The turquoise color comes, synergistically, from making silver settings for my glass jewelry. I collect the silver filings and incorporate in in the top layer in the glass piece. This is a process I developed and I have dubbed it "silvitrum".
The dimensions of the glass piece are 12" by 18" and it is framed in a maple floating frame; the overall framed dimensions are 20" by 14". It is ready to hang.
