THE Holiday Show is Here!The Downtown Holiday Market is the region's premier holiday festival, taking over two entire blocks of F St, NW, between 7th and 9th streets with the entrance centered in front of the National Portrait Gallery. No parking necessary, as it is steps from the Gallery Place metro station. (Parking garages available if you prefer to drive.).
Visit Joy of Glass in booth 27, Friday November 17th through Sunday December 3rd, noon to 8 every day except Thanksgiving. (The Market continues through December 23rd.) This is a must-visit, classic Washington holiday destination for all your holiday gifting and celebration needs. Live music and food add to the festivities. For those who might be looking for a gift closer to Christmas, Joy of Glass will also be at the Chevy Chase Farmers Market on Saturday December 16th 9-1PM, located at the intersection of Northampton St NW and Broad Branch Rd. NW, in front of Lafayette School.

Explore a range of glass jewelry techniques, from full-fuse, multi-layered dichroic glass pendants to textured bracelets in silver plate or brass settings. Students will be able to use a range of dichroic glasses, and to cut and grind glass to shape with the extensive range of tools in the studio. Each participants will make at least 5 glass jewelry projects, including pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets. All materials included. (Silver plate settings included; sterling silver settings available for purchase.)
