My friends Fred and Leslie tell me I should make jewelry for men. What do you think gentlemen, would you wear a necklace? A ring? Or what about cuff links? (Ladies, you might need to weigh in for the guys since mostly my emails go to you.)
Could you imagine any of the pieces below on a men's necklace (probably mounted in a simpler setting), or on a ring? Or how about the more organic pieces on the right? Comment here to let me know, thanks!

I second the cuff links idea! Also maybe some pendants in "masculine" colors with leather cord.

What about tie tacs and tie bars? In recent years I've bought cuff links and pendants as couples wedding gifts from the Watch Pocket in Silver Spring...beautiful pieces made from watch parts...and found that the guys never wear cufflinks, so I need to give them a special shirt for a birthday/holiday gift. Pendants are easy for them...earrings very difficult because matching light weight watch parts are few and far between, Most recent wedding...I went for pendant and tie bar, as the groom often wears a tie at work. The bride thinks her grade school students will wonder about the nature of her necklace. I love my Watch Pocket ring and pendant, but think that the color opportunities available in fused glass will create my wedding gifts for the next few generations.

Donna, that's great feedback, I could make tie bars or tie tacks. I always want a glass element on whatever jewelry I make but it would be small for a tie tack or bar. And that's a great idea for a wedding gift -- I actually have a page for wedding gifts but I haven't put much on it. Thanks!

How about stones for pierced ears or ear.

Yes, good idea, how do you think they would be different for men? I make some post earrings for women, what do you think about dichroic vs organic? They should be small, right?
